Why should I feed fresh food?

Feeding your dog fresh food provides more natural, nutrient-dense ingredients compared to many processed kibbles. Our food contains no fillers, no preservatives, and no artificial additives, which can lead to better digestion, healthier skin and coat, increased energy, and a stronger immune system. Fresh food is real, whole food - with recognizable & minimal ingredients.

What are the recipes and ingredients?

The Nojo's Dog creates a variety of human-grade recipes that are simple and suitable for different dietary restrictions. Our recipes are veterinarian approved and only utilize the freshest, human-grade proteins, vegetables, and fruits. Does the food need to be refrigerated?

The Nojo's Dog fresh food is perishable and should be stored frozen. Defrost food in refrigerator and keep refrigerated. Use within 5 days. We do not use any preservatives so it is essential that it is stored at safe temperatures.

Is The Nojo's Dog food raw or cooked?

All of The Nojo's Dog Food has been gently cooked via Sous Vide or Skillet/Steam (Cali Fresh). We recommended to store food in the freezer. After defrosting in the refrigerator, we recommend to serve the food gently warm for the best taste and smell.

How long does it take for my dog to transition to The Nojo's Dog food?

The Nojo's Dog recommends a minimum of 10 days to fully transition your dog to our complete meals. From days 1-4, you will use just 25% of our recommended daily serving and 75% of old food. From days 5-9, you will use 50% off our recommended daily serving and 50% of old food. From day 10+, you may provide The Nojo's Dog food as a complete meal.

Why does The Nojo's Dog vacuum seal their food?

We vacuum seal our food and jerky aka "reduced oxygen packaging" or "ROP" for a few reasons. First, ROP is a a non-harmful food preservation technique that extends the life of food by preventing growth of aerobic spoilage bacteria, delaying fat oxidation, and preventing freezer burn. Second, ROP aids in maintaining food quality by maintaining its freshness, color, texture, and flavor. Lastly, ROP prevents the destroying of nutrients in our foods, especially fruits and vegetables.

Packaging and Shipping

How fast do orders ship?

Please allow 2-3 days for Priority Mail shipping. You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships and another email when your order has been delivered.

Do you ship across the U.S.?

Yes! We ship to the 48 contiguous states in the U.S.

How do you package the food?

To ensure safe travels, The Nojo's Dog securely packages your dog's food in a well insulated, leak resistant, reusable, and recyclable styrofoam cooler with dry ice. (CAUTION: Dry ice is extremely cold and can cause frostbite or cryogenic burns. Avoid direct contact with skin.)

How do I know if the food is safe to feed when it arrives?

Only feed packs that arrive frozen or very cold (as if just out of the fridge). Partial defrosting is okay. If you feel that the food is not safe for feeding or has been damaged in transit, please contact us. You will be asked to provide information about your order such as your name, order #, a detailed description of the issue, and photos/images of the issue.

What do I do if the food was damaged in transit?

If you feel that the food has been damaged in transit, please contact us. You will be asked to provide information about your order such as your name, order #, a detailed description of the issue, and photos/images of the issue.

Can I re-use the styrofoam cooler?

Absolutely! The styrofoam cooler that you received is high-quality and trusted by many restaurants and food delivery businesses across the United States.

How do I know if my order was submitted?

If your order was successfully submitted, you should have received a confirmation email notifying you of your submitted order.

Do you offer subscription purchasing or scheduled repeat purchases?

Unfortunately we do not offer subscription services at this time. However, we are able to manually schedule repeat purchases for you. Please contact us and we'd be happy to assist you.

Where can I view my order history?

For Desktop Users: To view your order history, click the "human icon" in the top right hand corner. You may be asked to log-in using your past credentials. When signed into your account, you will be directed to your account page, then please click "orders" in the top left hand corner.

For Mobile Users: Click the 3 stripes icon to open the website menu. You may be asked to log-in using your past credentials. When signed into your account, you will be directed to your account page, then please click "orders" in the top left hand corner.

How can I edit or change my order that I've submitted?

We do not edit or change orders once an online order has been submitted. If you need to speak to a customer service representative, please contact us as soon as possible and we will try our best to accommodate your changes.
